- First of all, get yourself and all elderly people in your family vaccinated. Most of the time children catch covid 19 from close contact with family.
- Even if you are vaccinated, don’t stop taking standard precautions like hand hygiene, social distancing, and most importantly, wearing a MASK while going outside(avoid going to high-traffic areas).
- Clean your home regularly, especially highly used things like door noobs, refrigerator doors, phones, or toys of your children.
- If your baby is more than 2 years old teach him to wear a mask if you need to take him outdoors.
- Elder children should learn and practice hand hygiene and social distancing.
- Don’t miss the FLU vaccine. It is seen that flu shots give cross-protection against covid 19.
- If unfortunately, any family member gets covid 19, maintain social distancing norms (and also wear a mask) in your home.
- Don’t lock your child 24/7 inside. Try to engage your child in outdoor play for 1-2 hours per day maintaining social distancing. It reduces anxiety and improves immune function.
- Avoid sending/taking children to closed gatherings ( coaching classes, public transport shopping malls, birthday parties, etc.).
- No role of multivitamin or immunity booster syrups, give your child nutritious homemade food.
